At Club Scientific Summer Camps, we combine hands-on learning with one-on-one attention to create a fun environment that teaches students to enjoy the challenge of critical thinking.

By offering multiple camp themes each week, our curriculum is intended to appeal to your child's unique interests. Is your child fascinated by robots? Enroll in one of our Robotics camps! Does your child want to be a Doctor when they grow up? Enroll in our Jr. Medical Doctor camp! Can't keep your child away from a computer screen? Enroll them in our Jr. Game Developer camp!

All of our hands-on activities conform to National Science Standards, making science challenging and fun! Our camp Directors are highly trained educational professionals, assisted by skilled instructors that have have a passion for science!

Jr. MEDICAL DOCTOR CAMP

Cost: Full Day = $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Make NO bones about it; this camp is all about the exciting world inside our own bodies! Campers will learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! Your aspiring Medical Doctor will really have a pulse on the human body with this camp!

Jr. Chef CAMP

Cost: Full Day = $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Who ever said that playing with your food is a bad thing? Our Jr. Chefs will explore basic kitchen safety, learn to take proper measurements while cooking, and will learn the science behind cooking! Chefs will perform exciting hands-on experiments to learn the basics of food science and cooking. Students will also make their own recipes and take home extras to share with their families when available. With supervision from our camp counselors, campers will use small toaster ovens, hotplates, kitchen utensils, and more as they prepare their dishes.

Jr. Scientist Camp

Cost: Full Day = $300/week ($280 until 1/31!), Half Day = $150/week ($140 until 1/31!)

The Jr. Scientist Camp covers a broad range of fun and exciting science topics such as: Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Lab Process Skills. This camp is perfect for the child who has a general interest in science and wants an exciting "sampler" camp! Campers learn all about the Scientific Method, how to observe and document changes with their experiments day to day, how to measure, and more!

Jr. AstronauT CAMP

Cost: Full Day = $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

3...2...1...BLASTOFF! Join us as we rocket into space with several exciting rocketry & astronomy projects! Do you have what it takes to become an astronaut? Jr. Astronauts will explore planets, rockets, stars, light, and more in this fun camp, perfect for ages 6-8.

Jr. Weather Scientist Camp

Cost: Full Day = $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Campers discover why weather changes and will explore the different components that make up weather. Our beginner meteorologists learn about the sun, discuss extreme weather (tornadoes and hurricanes!), learn about instruments that are used to predict and track weather, and will even create their own weather news segment with our Green Screen set up!

Jr. Paleontologist CAMP

This camp offers an exciting introduction into the basics of Paleontology! This exciting adventure in Paleontology will have your child playing in the dirt and having the time of their lives! Campers will be immersed in several hands-on projects that they will take home to continue their adventure. Plus this camp offers fun and dynamic science games!

Camp Jr. Space Engineer

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Using LEGO® bricks, campers will design and build structures and space vehicles for living on far away planets. Campers will utilize a variety of LEGO® bricks including motors, gears, lights, and sensors. Space Engineer includes instruction on the Earth, Moon, stars, and planets as well as the scientific topics of force, friction, simple machines, and gravity. Campers will also join the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to learn about propulsion, friction and more. Counselors will assign specific projects each day that include: a rotating satellite, space buggy, a stunning spaceship, terrestrial homes that can withstand alien atmospheres and a host of other exciting projects. Campers will work in teams to complete their missions. Full-day Camps also include two separate ESTES® rocket builds, and an epic launch demonstration on the final day of camp!

Jr. Veterinarian CAMP

Does your child LOVE animals? This camp is a young person’s ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Our lessons will give young vets an opportunity to look into the exciting careers of veterinarians, and allow them to be involved in related hands-on activities and experiments. Each camper will even receive their own stethoscope and make their own medical kit! *Campers are NOT to bring their own pets to camp*

Camp Jr. Robot Inventor

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

This camp is an introduction into the world of robotics. Campers will learn about the six simple machines and how they are incorporated into more complex machines. Campers will also learn about circuits and power sources as they build our “Mars-like” RC Rover. The radio-controlled RC Rover is capable of performing 23 experiments and activities. Campers will also have fun constructing our smart "Crab-Bot" Robot. Lastly, campers will work in the areas of observation, experimentation and trial and error as they build, race, and experiment with their robots.

Creating Electric Circuits! Building a remote controlled vehicle, building simple machines with Knex, and constructing a self-propelled "Crab-Bot"!

Jr. Game Developer CAMP

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Build a computer and learn to code with click-and-drag video game creation! Unleash your child's imagination! Campers, ages 6-8, will learn to create video games with just a click of a mouse. Campers design several uniquely playable games without needing any programming knowledge or prior artistic skills. *Please note that campers will need to have basic reading skills in order to fully participate in the activities in this camp. Also, campers do not take home the buildable computer at the end of camp.*

Jr. Mad Chemist CAMP

Potions, bubbles, and eruptions! We have chosen our very favorite chemistry activities for this camp! Campers will learn the importance of taking accurate measurements when creating our exciting concoctions and will use the scientific method while conducting their experiments. This camp will be a BLAST! (Literally!)

Jr. Movie Maker CAMP

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Is your child the next viral YouTube sensation? Perhaps a future movie director? In our Jr. Movie Maker camp, campers learn the science behind Hollywood's special effects and basic film making techniques as we create LEGO stop–motion animated "mini–movies". Campers will create a storyboard, script, set, and sound FX for their mini movies. Campers will also learn various special effect make–up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make–up artists to simulate cuts and bruises. We'll also learn about green screens as we write scripts and act out our very own newscast!

Special FX Camp

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

One of the original Club Scientific Camps!! In our Special Effects camp; campers learn the science behind Hollywood's special effects. Activities will demonstrate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, and set building. Campers will also learn various special effect make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists to simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Is there a future movie director living in your house? Students will WORK IN GROUPS OF TWO while designing their stop-motion films - please make sure to let your child know they will work with a partner while designing their stop-motion creations. We'll also learn about green screens as we write scripts and act out our own newscast!

CSI – Forensics Camp

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Calling all future Crime Scene Investigators! Campers will learn how law enforcement professionals solve crimes and analyze evidence. We'll use many of the same tools used by professionals to collect evidence from our mock crime scenes. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved using the science of Forensics, and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics plays a major role in the investigation! Campers use microscopes to analyze fibers, use facial composite software, and more!

Robot Inventor Camp

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Campers will learn about the Science of Robotics with information on famous inventors, major innovations, and breakthroughs and advances in robot history. Newton's Laws will be emphasized all week and each camper will receive three Robot Kits to work on. Campers will be able to take home their remote controlled robots!

For the 2020 Summer Camp season, We will be featuring our 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot kit and the transforming Solar Space Fleet kit. In addition to these projects campers will be learning how to solder with our "Blinky Bot" soldering project. These are skills, which are a must for anyone taking courses in robotics or electronics.

Sample Projects:
The 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot is a multi-function tracked mobile robotic kit. Utilize different track modules and make your robot transform into 3 amazing variations: the forklift, rover, and gripper. Using the wired controller, command the robot to move forward, backward, turn, grip and lift.

The Solar Space Fleet Kit is an innovative solar powered science kit that can transform into seven different lunar modules and energized via direct sunlight or micro rechargeable battery.

Game Developer Camp

Campers, ages 9-12, will learn to create video games with just a click of a mouse, while also learning the "logic" of coding. Emergency Vet CAMP

One of our most popular camps! This camp is a young person’s ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Our lessons will give young vets an opportunity to look into the exciting careers of real veterinarians, and allow them to be involved in related hands-on activities and experiments. Each camper will receive his or her very own medical kit.
*Please note: Animals may be present at camp - this camp is not recommended for campers who have cat/dog allergies. Campers are NOT to bring their own pets to camp.*

Movie Maker Camp

Calling all future Movie Directors and YouTubers! Join us for an exciting week as we explore the world of film–making. Campers will learn about script–writing, set design, cinematography, the basics of photography, internet safety, lighting, and more! Campers will have the opportunity to use our professional "vlogger gear" as they experiment with our video stabilization, lighting, and microphone rigs. Campers will also learn about Green Screen special effects!

Extreme Engineering CAMP

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

Design - Build - Test - Repeat! Come join us for a week of EXTREME Engineering challenges! Campers will learn the basics of the Engineering Design Process as they build all sorts of crazy contraptions, and compete in a series of Bridge-Building Competitions throughout the week! Campers will learn about Structural and Materials Science, as they compare the strengths of different materials and shapes by performing both non-destructive and destructive testing, all with the goal of improving their Engineering Designs.

Chef Scientific Camp

Cost: $300/week ($280 until 1/31!)

A true camper favorite! Our camp chefs will explore basic kitchen safety, learn to take proper measurements while cooking, and will learn the science behind cooking! This is a course for beginning "Chefs", and will include a variety of breakfast, dessert, and party recipes. Camp Pricing & Information:
  • Club Scientific camps differ by location, so check out the details below to see which location and type of camp works best for your child!
  • Full–day camps:
    • Offered at San Juan del Rio Catholic School in Fruit Cove and Waypoint Church in Nocatee
    • 20 different camp themes for Ages 6-12 to choose from!
    • Most camp themes include 4 hands-on science activities each day!
    • Each camp day includes an exciting Morning Science Demonstration or Camp Challenge, at least 45 minutes of Active Outdoor time (weather permitting), and the chance to socialize with friends during their lunch break!
    • Full-day camps operate from 9am – 4pm
      • Optional Early Drop-off from 8am - 9am available for $25 per week
      • Optional Extended Day from 4pm - 530pm available for $35 per week
    • All Full-day camps cost $300 per week ($280 until 1/31!)
      • Multi-week Discounts are available at Check-Out.
  • Half–day camps:
    • Offered at the Club Scientific Lab on US-1 in Ponte Vedra
    • 5 different camp themes for Ages 6-9 to choose from!
    • Campers can choose from a Morning camp session, an Afternoon camp session, or both!
      • And the best part? Activities DO NOT repeat between Morning and Afternoon sessions!
        So campers who sign up for both get double the fun!
    • Morning camp sessions operate from 9am to 12pm
    • Afternoon camp sessions operate from 1pm to 4pm
    • Each half-day camp includes at least 2 hands-on science activities per day, and campers who sign up for both Morning and Afternoon sessions will stay on-site for a lunch break from 12pm to 1pm
    • All Half-day camps cost $150 per week ($140 until 1/31!)

Not all Camps Themes are available at every location.

COVID-19 Safety Procedures:
  • Depending on the state of community spread of COVID-19 at the time of camp, various coronavirus-specific safety precautions may be in place during camp. For example:
    • Students, staff, and volunteers may be required to wear masks while indoors at camp.
    • Students, staff, and volunteers may be required to have their temperature taken upon arrival at camp.
    • Enrollment will initially be capped at 9 students per classroom/camp theme. (If conditions allow, capacity may be increased prior to the start of camp.)
    • Use of shared supplies may be limited, in coordination with enhanced cleaning measures.
    • Drop-off and pickup of students may be in a car-line format
    • Lastly, our "Family Day" events on Fridays may be replaced with pre-recorded class videos emailed to families after camp.
  • These guidelines may be updated as camp dates approach, and updates will be communicated to currently enrolled families via email.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
  • Full refunds will be offered until April 1st (minus a 5% processing fee, see below)
  • A 75% refund will be offered between April 2nd and May 31st
  • No refunds will be offered after June 1st
  • All refunds to credit cards will incur a 5% fee to cover our non-refundable registration and credit card processing fees.
  • COVID-19 specific cancellations:
    • If your child has been exposed to, or is showing symptoms of COVID-19, they may not attend, and you will be given an account credit for the full cost of your child's camp, regardless of the cancellation date.
