Camp Pricing & Information:

  • Full–Day Camps: 
    • Offered at both the Club Scientific Lab in Waldwick, and at the Franklin Lakes location.
    • 34 different camp themes for Ages 5-12 to choose from!
    • Most camp themes include 4 hands-on science activities each day!
    • Each camp day includes an exciting Morning Science Demonstration, at least 45 minutes of Active Outdoor time (weather permitting), and the chance to socialize with friends during their lunch break!
    • Full-day camps operate from 9am – 4pm
      • Optional Pre-Camp from 8am - 9am available for $40 per week
      • Optional Post-Camp from 4pm - 5:30pm available for $55 per week
    • Camp prices start at $385 per week.
      • Some camps have an additional lab fee of $35 per week.
  • Half–day camps: 
    • All camps offered at the Club Scientific Lab, will also be offered at the Franklin Lakes location. Both have a half-day option available.
    • Campers can choose from a Morning camp session, an Afternoon camp session, or both!
      • And the best part? Activities DO NOT repeat between Morning and Afternoon sessions! So campers who sign up for both get double the fun!
    • Morning camp sessions operate from 9am to 12pm
    • Afternoon camp sessions operate from 1pm to 4pm"
    • Each half-day camp includes at least 2 hands-on science activities per day, and campers who sign up for both Morning and Afternoon sessions will stay on-site for a lunch break from 12pm to 1pm
    • All Half-day camps cost $195 per week.All camps are offered as a half day option.

Cancellation Policy:  Full refunds will be given until April 1st. A 75% refund will be given between April 2nd and May 31st. No refunds will be made after June 1st. All registration cancellations will incur a 5% fee to cover our non-refundable registration and credit-card fees.

Camp Descriptions

Camp Young Weather Scientist

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Campers discover why weather changes and will explore the different components that make up weather. Jr. Meteorologists will measure rainfall, build a cloud window, learn about weather instruments by tracking weather phenomena, design their own tornadoes, create “snow” during the summer and more!

 

Camp Science Explorer

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Delve into the wonderful world of science exploration with an incredible collection of projects and experiments that will fascinate your Camp Scientists. Your child will take part in hands-on activities examining the basic scientific ideas that play a role in everyday life and will learn how the Scientific Method helps give us answers to our many questions!

Camp Jurassic

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Dinosaurs may be extinct, but they are very much alive in Camp Jurassic. Campers learn about a variety of dinosaurs and their habitats. Rocks, minerals, and fossils are studied along with a variety of related projects.

 

Camp Young Veterinarian

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Does your child LOVE animals? This camp is a young person’s ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Our lessons will give young vets an opportunity to look into the exciting careers of veterinarians, and allow them to be involved in related hands-on activities and experiments. Each camper will even receive their own stethoscope and make their own medical kit!

Owl Pellet Dissection, DNA Extraction, Microscopy, Diseases and Parasites, First Aid, Make Homemade Doggy Treats, and much more!

 

Camp Young Robot Builder - LEGO Camp

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Campers ages 5-6 will want to join us to learn exciting construction techniques using LEGO® bricks. Young Builder allows campers to take their first steps into science and technology. By using the themes of construction and travel, campers learn about machines, the tools used to work on machines, and their functions. Our material packs include a wide range of bricks and special elements in various shapes, sizes, and colors that are ideal for stimulating children’s creative and imaginative skills. Camp counselors will introduce tasks each day in building vehicles, planes, buildings, towns and transportation systems. Campers receive lots of suggestions for ideas but are encouraged to use their own creativity and imagination.

 

Camp Young Inventor

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Sir Isaac Newton never had this much fun! Campers will be immersed into our toy makers workshop as they construct and take home several different toy projects during the week. Each project will teach an important physical property.

 

Camp Chemistry Chaos

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Watch the crazy chemistry chaos of chemical concoctions and reactions as we experiment with different science phenomenon! Campers will love examining the results of these recipes and formulas as they encounter the unexpected!

Camp Young Astronaut

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
3...2...1...BLASTOFF! Join us as we rocket into space with several exciting rocketry & astronomy projects! Do you have what it takes to become an astronaut? Young Astronauts will explore planets, rockets, stars, light, and more in this fun camp, perfect for ages 5-6.

Camp Jr. Meteorologist

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Campers discover why weather changes and will explore the different components that make up weather. Our beginner meteorologists learn about the sun, discuss extreme weather (tornadoes and hurricanes!), learn about instruments that are used to predict and track weather, and will even create their own weather news segment!

Camp Jr. Doctor

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring "Young Physician". Campers will learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! Your Young Physician will really have a pulse on the human body with this camp!

Camp Jr. Paleontologist

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
This camp offers an exciting introduction to the basics of Paleontology! This exciting adventure in Paleontology will have your child playing in the dirt and having the time of their lives! Campers will be immersed in several hands-on projects that they will take home to continue their adventure. Plus this camp offers fun and dynamic science games!

Panning for Gems and Minerals! Crack Open a Geode! Miniature Dinosaur Dig! Build and take away a cool T-Rex Model!

In addition:
Campers will work in the areas of observation, experimentation and trial and error as they build, race, and experiment with their robots.

Camp Ultimate Veterinarian

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Jump into the world of veterinary medicine and explore what it’s like to nurture and care for animals and pets! This camp is one of our most popular (because who doesn’t love animals!?) and equips our Young Vet Campers with priceless insight into the inspiring world of veterinarians. They will receive their very own medical kit and partake in related hands-on activities and experiments giving them a chance to look into the exciting career of veterinary science! *Please note: Animals may be present at camp - this camp is not recommended for campers who have cat/dog allergies. Campers are NOT to bring their own pets to camp.*

Camp Jr. Robot Inventor

Cost: $385/week plus a $35 lab fee and Half Day: $195/week plus a $35 lab fee
This camp is an introduction into the world of robotics. Campers will learn about the six simple machines and how they are incorporated into more complex machines. Campers will also learn about circuits and power sources as they build our “Mars-like” RC Rover. The radio-controlled RC Rover is capable of performing 23 experiments and activities. Campers will also have fun constructing our Aluminum Can Robot.

Sample Projects:
Creating Electric Circuits! Building a remote-controlled vehicle, building simple machines with Knex, and constructing a robot made out of aluminum can.

In addition:
Campers will work in the areas of observation, experimentation and trial and error as they build, race, and experiment with their robots.

 

Camp Deep Sea Plunge

CCost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Get ready to dive deep into the high seas and explore the great mysteries of the ocean! Deep Sea Camp Divers will go on an adventure of a lifetime investigating the creatures of the crystal blue waters and maybe even discovering some buried treasure!

Map Making and Orienteering, Knot Tying, Shark Tooth Necklace, Build a Model of a Tall Ship, and several others!

 

Camp Ick-ology

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Do you love to be shocked and horrified? Welcome to the ickiest camp ever! Our Icky-ologists will carry out disgusting and gruesome experiments focused on blood, bones, and body bits. Uncover the science of the human body and take a look at the squishy parts you don’t usually get to examine (like brains, snot, and eyeballs)!

Bulging Bag of Brains, Simulated Snot, Baby Diaper Dissection, and Eyeball Acrobatics!

 

Camp Intergalactic Engineer

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week
Ever dreamt of living on a distant planet in another cosmic universe? Put your space odyssey thinking caps on and enter into the realm of intergalactic engineering! Our Intergalactic Camp Engineers will explore the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and learn new ways of thinking and analyzing. They will join the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to learn about propulsion, friction, force, simple machines, and gravity. They will also explore the earth, moon, stars, and planets! Intergalactic Camp Engineers will build and design structures and space probes utilizing a variety of LEGO® bricks (including motors, gears, lights, and sensors). Join us as we take on this exhilarating space expedition!

Camp Edible Science

Cost: $235/week plus a $35 Lab Fee and Half Day: $120/week plus a $35 Lab Fee

Come discover the science behind cooking with a dose of nutritional basics. Learn about how science is incorporated into preparing daily meals and how these choices affect our bodies! Our Edible Science Chefs will explore a variety of healthy breakfast, dessert, and party recipes! With supervision from our instructors, chefs will use a range of kitchen gadgets and appliances such as ovens, hotplates, blenders, and more as they prepare their dishes.*If your child has dietary restrictions or allergies please include that information on your online registration form.*

Homemade Ice Cream, Extract From from Cereal, Veggie Sushi, Homemade Pretzels, Rock Candy Experiment, and much more!

 

Camp Emergency Medicine

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week

Campers learn about important life saving techniques including first aid and CPR. Explore the structures and physiology of the amazing human body. Career opportunities are discussed as campers meet a real nursing professional (depending on availability). Each camper will receive a stethoscope and certificate at the end of the week.

Sample Topics:
Germ theory of disease, fevers and bacteria, using medical instruments, triage and diagnosis, blood pressure, and more!

 

Camp Special Effects

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week

One of our most popular camps!! In our Special Effects camp; campers learn the science behind Hollywood's special effects. Activities will demonstate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, and set building. Campers will also learn various special effect make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists to simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Is there a future movie director living in your house? Students will WORK IN GROUPS OF TWO while designing their stop-motion films - please make sure to let your child know they will work with a partner while designing their stop-motion creations.

Camp Emergency Vet

One of our most popular camps! This camp is a young person’s ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Camp Robot Inventor

Cost: $385/week plus $35 Lab Fee and Half Day: $195/week plus a $35 Lab Fee

Campers will learn about the Science of Robotics with information on famous inventors, major innovations, and breakthroughs and advances in robot history. Newton's Laws will be emphasized all week and each camper will receive three Robot Kits to work on. Campers will be able to take home their remote controlled robots! For the 2018 Summer Camp season, We will be featuring our 4–Motor Robotic Arm kit. In addition to these projects campers will be learning how to solder with our "Blinky Bot" soldering project. These are skills which are a MUST for anyone taking courses in robotics or electronics.

 

Camp CSI - Forensics

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week

Calling all future Crime Scene Investigators! Campers will learn how law enforcement professionals solve crimes and analyze evidence. We will use many of the same tools used by professionals to collect evidence from our mock crime scenes. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved using the science of Forensics, and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics plays a major role in the investigation! Campers use microscopes to analyze fibers, use facial composite software, and more!

Blood Analysis; Fiber, Handwriting, Fingerprinting, and DNA Analysis!

 

CSI Advanced

Cost: $385/week and Half Day: $195/week

NOTE: MUST HAVE ATTENDED OUR Camp CSI Forensics. Campers will become advanced forensic scientists for the week! Campers will analyze and gather evidence for a number of fictitious crime scenes, use luminal and UV light to detect the presence of blood, complete a blood splatter analysis, take crime scene photographs, complete a drug and poison analysis and much more!

 

Camp Deep Space

Cost: $375/week and Half Day: $195/week

Engaging does not even start to describe this camp which combines solid fuel rocketry and LEGO® bricks. This NXT-based space adventure is designed for use with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® components and software. Our program for the week provides everything needed to facilitate an exciting STEM-based robocamp. STEM stands for: Science-Technology-Engineering-Math, and is a fundamental part of this camp by providing a hands-on minds-on environment. We will combine the experience with Estes Rocket Labs as campers design and build their own rockets. When they are finished, they watch their rockets blast toward the stratosphere!
